Morning Notes
US Futures are tracking lower this morning amongst continued geopolitical concerns. North Korea warned that if “provoked” they would not hesitate to launch a nuclear missile. European stocks are trading at weekly highs while Asian stocks closed mostly mixed.
Technicals
The SPY initially sold off in yesterday’s session but made a strong recovery to close out the day just off highs. Support will lie at the 50 day SMA at $234.79, followed closely by the low of yesterday’s range at $233.34 and $233.14. Then, $231.61, $230.62, and the 100 day SMA at $229.71. Resistance will lie at the the high of yesterday’s range at $235.18, followed by the 20 day EMA at $235.40, then the recent pivot point at $236.30. New short term descending resistance falls at $237.30, followed by the remaining levels of resistance at $237.39, $237.97, $238.10, $239.20, $239.44, $239.57, and record highs at $240.32.
