US Futures and European shares are higher in early trading. Global markets rose with no new missile launch by North Korea over the weekend during their anniversary celebration. Hurricane Irma, while is still caused widespread damage, created less damage than first expected. Asian stocks settled mostly higher to start the week.
Technicals
The SPY traded with muted action in Friday’s session, continuing to consolidate above its moving averages. Support will lie at the low of Friday’s range at $246.30, followed by $246.23, then the 20EMA at $245.92, the 50SMA at $245.36, then $244.95, $244.62, the 100SMA at $243.00, then $242.93, $241.83, and $240.85. Resistance will lie at the high of Friday’s range at $247.11, then $247.28, followed by gap entry at $247.52, then gap fill at $247.67, then $248.33, ascending resistance at $248.89 and record highs at $248.91.
