Morning Notes
US Futures are flat and European shares are higher in early trading. Investors continue to monitor for news on the China/US trade relationship as Trade Rep Lighthizer and Treas. Sec. Steven Mnuchin arrived in Beijing for negotiations. Eyes will also be on the release of the weekly unemployment information and the GDP numbers early this morning. Asian markets settled the session mixed.
Technicals
The SPY failed to hold the $281.2 pivot or the 20EMA early in yesterday’s session then came back to consolidate and close at the 20EMA pivot. Support will first found at the 20EMA at $279.51, the $275.5 pivot and the 200SMA at $275.29, then pivot low of $272.42, $270, and the 100SMA at $268.74. Resistance first lies at $281.2, $286.6 and $288.8
