Morning Notes
US Futures and European markets are higher in early trading. Markets are edging higher this morning but are still on edge regarding trade between China and the US after Pres. Trump announced he is ready to expand tariffs if necessary.
Investors will be watching oil prices as OPEC issues its monthly report today and crude oil is higher this morning following tanker attacks in the Gulf of Oman. Asian markets settled the session mostly lower.
Technicals
The SPY traded in a constricted range in yesterday’s session remaining below the $289.4 pivot area. Support will first be found with the 50SMA at $287, followed by the 20EMA at 284.65, $281.20 pivot, the 100SMA at $281.35, followed by the 200SMA at $277.25. Resistance first lies at $289.50 and all time highs at $294.95
