Decentraland MANA token climbs

A dark horse cryptocurrency tied to a metaverse platform is slowly climbing the ladder with higher per-coin prices today.

MANA is the token for the Decentraland exchange that’s also known as a cryptocurrency casino and more.

“Test the limits of your imagination,” write spokespersons on the web site. “Create scenes, artworks, challenges and more, using the simple Builder tool, then take part in events to win prizes. For more experienced creators, the SDK provides the tools to fill the world with social games and applications.”

As the 29th most valuable cryptocurrency right now, MANA is traded on 204 exchanges around the world.

Some talk about it as a “metaverse token,” and laud it for its price stability.

Today, analysts are looking at the potential for more MANA changes.

“MANA’s technical indications suggest that it is faring well in different market aspects alongside its corresponding value,” writes Jet Encila at NewsBTC this morning. “The coin has been trading above its estimated value for several months, and the moving average convergence/divergence (MACD) line on several charts is within the neutral zone. Its RSI of 52 indicates that it is presently in the neutral zone as MANA is currently trading at approximately $3.27 per coin.”

That $3.27 is against all-time highs over $4.00, but traders who have sunk money into MANA believe it has higher to go, perhaps even in the short term.

Essentially, part of the appeal of MANA is in the application to the metaverse, where humans are often represented by avatars and a new integrated virtual web model takes hold.

“The metaverse is an immersive virtual reality version of the internet where people can interact with digital objects and digital representations of themselves and others, and can move more or less freely from one virtual environment to another,” write authors Joel Elson, Austin Doctor and Sam Hunter at a web site called The Conversation. “ It can also involve augmented reality, a blending of virtual and physical realities, both by representing people and objects from the physical world in the virtual and conversely by bringing the virtual into people’s perceptions of physical spaces. By donning virtual reality headsets or augmented reality glasses, people will be able to socialize, worship and work in environments where the boundaries between environments and between the digital and physical are permeable. In the metaverse, people will be able to find meaning and have experiences in concert with their offline lives.”
