Morning Notes
US futures are pointing lower this morning and European stocks are trading lower by over -1% after China posted weaker than expected import data for the month of September which was also the worst number in the past 7 months. China economic growth concerns continue. Asian stocks closed lower.
Technicals
The SPY traded on anemic volume yesterday due to the Columbus Day Holiday and bond markets being closed. Resistance will lie at the high of yesterday’s range at $201.76, followed by Friday’s high of $201.90. Support will lie at the low of yesterday’s range at $200.91, followed by Friday’s low of $200.58 which then brings us to $198.59.
Small Cap Watch List
AXN: Aoxing Pharmaceuticals – The company reported FY15 EPS of $0.09 vs ($0.16) year ago; FY15 revs 100.8% y/y to $25.5M. Gapping up 20% with a 39M share float.
PLX: Protalix Biotherapeutics -The company sold its share in the collaboration agreement for ELELYSO to commercialization partner Pfizer for $36M. PFE also agreed to make a $10 mln investment in exchange for 5,649,079 shares. Gapping up 20% with a 78.8M share float.
