US Futures Turn Negative After Retail Sales Plummet 1.2%

US futures tumbled lower Thursday morning after retail sales numbers sunk 1.2% in December, worst in 9 years, while analysts were expecting a flat number.
Online retailers like Amazon and eBay had strong sales while department stores sales dropped 3.3%, which really isn’t a surprise as this has been the trend for years now.
