GPRO Technical Analysis
GPRO gapped up in price Thursday to $17.25, up from the prior day’s close of $16.89, which is a 2% increase on the favorable news. Taking a look at the daily chart, we can see the last time GPRO traded at this price level was on December 8th, when it traded at $17.58. Taking a closer look at the daily chart, we can see that GPRO has been on an overall decline dating back to August 10th when it traded at $64.74. The next possible resistance level for this move up would be $20, which was last reached on December 2nd. GPRO does have a float of 65.85 million shares and was trading 2 times the normal daily trading volume. GPRO did reach pre market highs of $17.69, but gave back $0.44 at the open, or equivalent to 2%. For trading purposes, my entry point would have been $17.35 looking for a run to $18. My stop loss would have been $17.15, fearing anything below that and the stock would start to fill in the gap up.
