Economic Calendar & Watch List

Morning Notes

US Futures trending higher and European stocks are lower in early morning trading. US markets are up after congress passed a 2 year budget bill early this morning to avoid another shutdown. However, weakness in the mining and energy sectors are driving European markets lower and limiting US gains. Signs of higher supplies and production are driving the commodity prices lower. Asian stocks closed mostly lower to end the week.

The SPY experienced further decline throughout yesterday’s session after a short lived relief move to the 50SMA over the course of Tuesday and Wednesday, selling off on increased volume. Support will first lie at yesterday’s low of $257.59, followed by macro ascending support at $256.90, then pivots at $255.63, $254.30, and the 200SMA at 253.56.
