Morning Notes
US Futures are lower and European shares are higher in early trading. Disappointing economic data is pushing US markets lower this morning. Still, investors remain optimistic on negotiations that are ongoing between China and the US. Asian markets settled the session mixed.
Technicals
The SPY gapped higher to start yesterday’s session and held those highs above the 200SMA consolidating near that 275.5 resistance. Support is first found at the 200SMA of $274.12, followed by $270, the 100SMA at $269.37, then the confluence at $268 with the 20EMA, and $265. It continues at $263, $260, $254.67, $253, $250, $248, $242 and $240. Resistance first lies at $275.5, $281 and $286.6.
