Morning Notes
US Futures are higher and European shares are flat in early trading. Markets were volatile in yesterday’s session following economic data, remarks on US/China trade talks and budget talk. Investors are also wary of the global economic slowdown as US and Chinese markets continue to show signs of weakening. Asian markets settled the session mixed.
Technicals
The SPY gapped below the 200SMA to start yesterday’s session then rallied to the $275 resistance only to close back at the 200SMA. Support is first found at the 200SMA of $274.17, followed by $270, the 100SMA at $269.18, then the 20EMA at $268.7, 268, and $265. It continues at $263, $260, $254.67, $253, $250, $248, $242 and $240. Resistance first lies at $275.5, $281 and $286.6.
