Morning Notes
US Futures and European shares are higher in early trading. Global stocks are higher following reports that Pres. Trump and Chinese Pres Xi are near a deal to end the ongoing trade war. It is reported that a deal could be reached as early as the end of the month when the two meet for a summit. Asian markets settled the session mostly higher.
Technicals
The SPY gapped slightly higher to start Friday’s session, backtested and held that level into the close. Looking to gap higher this morning at the $281.2 pivot. Support will first found at the near term support of $276.1 followed closely by the $275.5 pivot, then the 200SMA and 20EMA confluence at $274.71, followed by $270, and the 100SMA at $268.05. Resistance first lies at $281.2 and $286.6.
