Economic Calendar & Watch List
Morning Notes
US Futures and European markets are slightly lower in early trading. Investors are eagerly awaiting the Jobs report this morning for insight into the strength of the US labor market and possible evidence for another Fed rate cut in the near future. Many eyes will be watching this as a disappointing ADP employment report caused weakiness in the markets early in yesterday’s session. Asian stocks settled the session lower.
Technicals
The SPY dropped sharply at the beginning of yesterday’s session then recovered through the remainder of the session closing above the $288 ascending resistance line. Support will first be found at the $288.44 pivot and ascending support, then the 200SMA at $283.58. Resistance will be found at the 100SMA of 292.37, followed by $294.3 pivot and 50SMA, the 20EMA at $295.32, $296.7, then $302.20, $302.63.
