Morning Notes
US stock futures are mixed this morning with tensions in Asia weighing on investors. European stocks remained under pressure of the Fed Minutes. On Monday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average reached a new intraday record during the shortened session. Asian stocks closed the day mostly higher.
Technicals
The SPY closed back below the 20 EMA throughout Monday’s session and on continued weakness seen in the prior two sessions. Support will lie at the low of Monday’s range at $242.51, followed by $241.57, the 50 SMA at $241.09, then the near term support pivot at $240.65, continued with $239.93, $239.51, $238.82 and the 100 SMA at $238.33. Resistance will lie at the 20 EMA at $242.47, followed by the high of Monday’s range at $243.38, then $243.72, $244.38, $244.73, $244.87, and the record highs at $245.01.
