Morning Notes
US Futures and European shares are slightly lower in early trading. Markets posted the largest single day rally in yesterday’s session. Investors are optimistic with ongoing talks between the US and China and a meeting scheduled to take place in January. European markets are lower following the holiday break with concerns regarding economic growth and Brexit. Asian markets settled the session mixed.
Technicals
The SPY rallied in yesterday’s session through the important $240 pivot level. Support is first found at $240, followed by $235, $231.95, $228.56 pivot and ascending support then $219.5. Resistance first lies at $242, $245, $248, followed by $250, $253, $254.50, the 20EMA at $257.10 and $260. It continues with $263, $265, $268, $270, the 200SMA at $274.74 and $275.5 pivot.
