“BrainStorm Cell Therapeutics to present positive NurOwn Phase 2a clinical data at American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting” (BCLI): Co announced that results from its phase 2a study of NurOwn in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. BrainStorm has completed two clinical trials of the neurotrophic factor-secreting mesenchymal stem cells in Israel, and is currently enrolling a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 2 study at three centers in the United States.
Premarket shares gapped up on the news and, were up 17% at $5.40 (+0.70). The stock was struggling to hold its gains above $5.30, which could be some rear term resistance.
