Morning Notes
US Futures are tracking modestly higher to new record highs while European stocks surge higher by over +1.2% as global equities rally ahead of the US monthly payroll report which markets are expecting a strong gain. The price of crude is sharply lower by over -2.5% this morning after EIA data on Thursday showed production levels at its highest in the past 2 years. Asian stocks closed mostly higher.
Technicals
The SPY surged to new record levels throughout yesterday’s session and ended on continued strength into the close. Support will lie at the low of yesterday’s range at $241.64, followed by the near term support pivot at $240.65, then $239.93, the 20 EMA at $239.87, $239.51, $238.82, and the 50 SMA at $237.35. Resistance will lie only at the record highs of yesterday’s range at $243.38.
