Morning Notes
US Futures are relatively flat while European shares are broadly lower in early morning trading after the terrorist attack in Spain along with continued political tensions pressuring the markets. US Markets were weak in yesterday’s trading, plunging to 5 week lows. Asian stocks settled lower.
Technicals
The SPY sold off on accelerated volume during yesterday’s session and closed back below both the 20EMA and 50SMA after retesting the ascending resistance on Wednesday. Support will lie at the low of yesterday’s range at $243.09, followed by gap fill at $242.55, the 100SMA at $241.44, $240.85, and the recent support pivot at $240.65. Resistance will lie at the high of yesterday’s range at $246.60, followed by the ascending resistance at $247.85 and record highs at $248.91.
