Morning Notes
US Futures and European shares are edging higher after German Investor confidence posted a gain for the first time in over 4 months. Energy stocks are adding to the move with a rise in Crude futures. Investors will be watching the FOMC meeting notes that come out Wednesday following the policy meeting that starts today. Asian stocks settled mostly lower.
Technicals
The SPY opened on strength yesterday holding back above the recent pivot at $249.30. Support will lie at the low of yesterday’s range and near term support pivot of 249.30, followed by $248.57, gap entry at $248.02, the 20EMA at $247.64, then gap fill at $247.11, continued with the 50SMA at $246.30, $246.23, then $244.95, $244.62, and the 100SMA at $243.81. Resistance will lie at the high of yesterday’s range at $250.12 and record highs at $250.32.
