Morning Notes
US Futures are lower and European markets are slightly higher in early trading. Negotiations resume this week between the US and China in Washington. The strike between the UAW and GM continues into its 4th week as talks have broken down between union officials and management. Asian stocks settled the session mixed.
Technicals
The SPY rallied in Friday’s session folloing the Jobs report pushing through the 100SMA and closing near the 50SMA and $294 pivot area. Support will first be found at the 100SMA of $292.49, then ascending support at $288.8, $288.4, the 200SMA at $283.78. Resistance will be found at the $294.3 pivot and 50SMA, the 20EMA at $295.23, $296.7, then $302.20, $302.63.
