Futures point to a mixed session

U.S. stock markets look likely to open mixed on Tuesday as traders look ahead to fresh inflation data with the latest producer price index (PPI) due today and the consumer price index scheduled to be released on Wednesday.

Expectations are for PPI to have jumped 0.6% month over month in October, while CPI price index is also expected to show a 0.6% jump compared to the prior month.

As of 5:45 a.m. ET, futures tied to the blue-chip Dow Jones were down 16 points, or 0.04% to 36,296.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 futures gained 27 points, or 0.17% to 16,354.75 while S&P 500 futures were flat.

Roblox soars 24% on upbeat Q3 earnings

Meanwhile, Roblox (NYSE: RBLX) shares were surging in the pre-market trading session Tuesday after the company reported stronger-than-forecast earnings for its third quarter.

Roblox said late Monday that it narrowed its losses by half, and its user figures again jumped by double digits.

Roblox said revenue grew 102% on a year-over-year basis to $509.3 million. Bookings during the quarter came in at $637.8 million, up 28% on a year-over-year basis.

The company posted a loss of 13 cents a share during the quarter, compared with a loss of 26 cents a share in the same period last year. The video-game maker said daily active users jumped 31% year-over-year to 47.3 million.

As of writing, Roblox stock was at $96.15, up $19.15, or 24.87% per share.

Bitcoin stages rally, hits $68K

Bitcoin, the world’s most valuable cryptocurrency, has risen to a new record high of $68,000 as inflation concerns continue to drive momentum and into the digital token.

Bitcoin surged as much as 3.6% to $68,513 on Tuesday, with smaller rival Ether popping to about $4,840.

In October, bitcoin set a record high when it rose to nearly $67,700 before giving away some of those gains when investors began focusing on a new cryptocurrency, Shiba Inu.

Analysts believe that bitcoin will record more gains in the coming weeks.
