Morning Notes

US Futures are tracking lower this morning after yesterday’s bounce back and European markets are trading slightly higher. The price of crude fell over -2% after the IEA commented that demand would slow through 2017 in Chinese and Indian markets which is weighing on energy producing stocks. Asian markets closed mixed across the board.  

 

Technicals

The SPY surged back higher throughout yesterday’s session after tumbling on Friday. Support will lie at the low of yesterday’s range at $212.31, followed closely by the 100 day moving average at $212.09. Resistance will lie at the 50 day moving average at $216.37, followed closely by the high of yesterday’s range at $216.81, then $217.03 and the upper support pivot at $217.30.
