Morning Notes
US Futures and European shares are higher this morning coming off of a strong week in US markets while investors look to the FOMC meeting that takes place this week. Higher oil prices and renewed M&A have also given the markets a boost. Asian stocks settled mostly higher.
Technicals
The SPY gapped down to begin Friday’s session and edged back higher throughout the day. Support will lie at the low of Friday’s range at $248.57, followed by gap entry at $248.02, then the 20EMA at $247.36, then gap fill at $247.11, continued at $246.30, $246.23, the 50SMA at $246.16, then $244.95, $244.62, and the 100SMA at $243.70. Resistance will lie at the high of Friday’s range, which is a near term pivot and gap entry, at $249.30, followed by gap fill at $249.60, and record highs at $250.32.
