Morning Notes
US Futures are slightly lower and European markets are closed for Easter early trading. Investors will be watching earnings kick off this week and guidance that will be released amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Oil prices are rising following an OPEC agreement that was reached over the weekend. Asian stocks settled the session mostly higher.
Technicals
The SPY consolidated higher in Thursday’s session and found resistance around the $281 pivot area. Support will first be found at $271.3, descending support near $265, then the 20EMA at $263.24, $256.35, $247.68, followed by $242.21, $233.76, $228.02, and $218.26. Resistance will be found at $281.5, gap fill at $290.23, and the 200SMA at $301.16.
