Morning Notes
US Futures are lower this morning as European markets trade off by nearly -1.5% at 2 month lows. The price of crude slipped by -1.3% dragging energy producers lower while gold is trading at monthly highs. Asian stocks were led lower by a sharp -3.5% drop in the Nikkei.
Technicals
The SPY traded sharply lower in Friday’s session and is carrying over into this morning as the SPY is trading lower in the pre market. Support will lie at the low of Friday’s range at $209.43, followed by the former macro resistance at $209 – $209.30, then $208.86, $207.87, and the 50 day moving average at $207.66. Resistance will lie at the high of Friday’s range at $210.86, followed by $211.19, $212.22, and $211.22.
