Today CannaRoyalty Corp. (CSE: CRZ) announced that it was changing its name to Origin House as an re-branding attempt to better align it with the company’s global strategy of maintaining global cannabis brands. The company’s ticker symbol will be changed from “CRZ” to “OH” on the Canadian Stock Exchange effective tomorrow, October 23rd.
The idea behind this new Origin House corporate identity lies behind the company’s strategy to become a preeminent global house for marijuana brands. Their new logo visually represents a “house” designed from the core components of the company in a stylized cannabis leaf. The company has also revealed an updated investor presentation regarding this identity, which can be seen on their new website.

Origin House’s President and General Counsel Afzal Hasan also commented on the re-branding campaign. He went on to describe the strategy as three overlapping phases, the first being a process of creating the “cornerstone” for the Origin House brand. The second phase would see the company move from supporting external brands to internalizing their top performers. The third and final phase would see these brands tested in California and scaling them in other areas.
